Wat doet Special Kids Pakistan
Special Kids Pakistan is een stichting die projecten in Pakistan ondersteunt. Dit zijn projecten die zich richten op kinderrevalidatie, onderwijs en/of dagbesteding voor kinderen met een verstandelijke, motorische en/of een zintuiglijke beperking.
Doordat deze kinderen overdag naar een school of dagbesteding kunnen gaan, krijgen ze (een vorm van) onderwijs maar er wordt ook voorkomen dat ze of thuis zitten of op straat gaan zwerven met alle gevolgen van dien.
Ook heeft de opvang van deze kinderen impact op de gezinnen. Ouders hebben het gevoel dat ze er niet alleen voor staan; er wordt onder meer voorlichting gegeven en ouders worden geholpen met problemen die zij ondervinden in de verzorging van hun kind.
Wij ondersteunen deze projecten financieel maar ook door het bieden van trainingen proberen we deze centra sterker te maken.

What does Special Kids Pakistan do?
Special Kids Pakistan is a foundation that supports projects in Pakistan. These projects focus on child rehabilitation, education, and/or daytime activities for children with intellectual, motor, and/or sensory disabilities.
Because these children can attend school or daytime activities during the day, they receive (some form of) education, but it also prevents them from staying home or wandering the streets, with all the consequences that entails.
Caring for these children also has an impact on the families. Parents feel they are not alone; information is provided, and parents receive support with the problems they encounter caring for their child.
We support these projects financially, and we also try to strengthen these centers by offering training.
